Wild Music Lab...

With a base in Galway, the creative heart of the west of Ireland,
the Wild Music Lab team works with diverse partners from the tourism, tech, creative & education sectors.
We devise and deliver innovative music projects that resonate.

Who?

Wild Music Lab is a creative germination space for new collaborations and ideas, led by artistic director Sinéad Hayes, a conductor/curator with over a decade of expertise in creative classical, contemporary and traditional music projects in Ireland, the UK & Berlin. In addition to music, Sinéad holds a masters degree in structural engineering from Imperial College, London.

How?

Working with partners from the tourism, tech, creative and education sectors, we bring diverse teams together to create high level, excellently executed cross-genre projects involving music, words and more. Working with composers, artists, writers, architects & musicians, our projects are designed to resonate with audiences, both existing and new.

How Can You Work with Us?

You have an idea...

You are an architect, a restaurant/hotel owner, a visitor attraction manager, an opera house, an orchestra, a school, a university...
You have a story you want to share with your visitors/audience/clients/employees/students...
in a creative, engaging, outside the box way...
BUT........
...........................................
...........................................
crickets!

Let's have a chat...

Get in touch for a 45 minute discovery chat and let's unlock some ideas...
The ideas are free - you get to keep them (it's the execution that's the trick though!)
We might unlock something that you can deliver in-house.
You're welcome - invite us to the event as your guest!
But maybe....

The Budget...

We might like to work together to deliver this idea. We figure out the budget, a timeframe for planning and delivery...
including composition/creation, rehearsal time, performance planning and logistics etc...
We can flex to suit your budget.

Figure out the plan...

We work with you to create a finalised plan for the idea.
The idea could be a new text/music commission, sparked by the creativity of your employees/students, or a curated live music/sound installation in your office space, or a locative audio experience available 24 hours a day in the new park you have just designed...
Then we set to work...

Assemble the team & deliver...

We bring a carefully selected team together - it could be composers/writers/curators/dreamers as well as a team of musicians/performers.
We take care of all scheduling, delivery of the new work, all the creative differences (yes, they will arise!) rehearsals, performance logistics...
But we would love for you to see the process..
We just leave the marketing and PR to you.

Enjoy the Reaction

Enjoy the final results - just imagine being the catalyst in the creation of a brand new piece of musical art in the world! All because you had that original idea, and you remembered hearing about Wild Music Lab, and their brilliant team of mad musical magicians!!! Let's have that chat!

Projects in Development 2026 - 29

The Creative Forge

Imagine creating a new music/words piece from scratch in 2/3 days during a festival or residency...and having an audience for the entire creative process?? We bring the team of composer/performer/production creatives together, create the project brief, and facilitate the process of creation right through to "final" performance, bringing your audiences along for every step of the white-hot creative journey!

The Beethoven Lab

2027 is the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death. To mark this, we are currently developing an engaging and entertaining series of explorations into three of LVB's symphonies: III, V & VII. Each exploration is approximately 75 minutes long (with optional interval) and includes live conducted ensemble. Ensemble size can vary from sextet to full chamber orchestra - depending on budget. We are also developing a parallel series specifically aimed at composers using Beethoven's music as a catalyst for creation of new works.

Beyond The Shamrock...

We are on a mission to banish the plastic shamrock for good (for 364 days a year at least!) Our Beyond the Shamrock project aims to change the narrative by bringing Irish contemporary and symphonic music to audiences around the world. We curate appealing programmes combining new Irish musical storytelling with audience-friendly canon works. We can supply scores and parts (and conductor!), as well as delivering audience and musician engagement workshops on site.

Music in Space

Site specific performances, site take-overs & workshops curated in collaboration with architects and space makers. Themes/focus can vary depending on local collaborators and performers. We also create locative audio experiences so that an echo of the performance remains long after the last live notes have been played.
